About this artwork
Chaos is balance, harmony, and beauty.
Tumbling structures, in an apparently chaotic, kaleidoscopic manner, are the recurring theme of my work, explored in different ways, with different materials. We generally call chaos something whose meaning, structures, and order we do not know or recognise. My works are abstract depictions of endangered, collapsing, tumbling, tumultuous and ever changing structures of any kind, be it ecological, economical,… sociological, ideological psychological nature.
I mostly work without titles because I do want to give the freedom of interpretation, and more importantly, I do want my art to be an intuitive, emotional experience rather than an intellectual one. When given a title I intellectually point into a specific direction of perception.
The artwork is unmounted, but it is supposed to be hung unmounted. The clips to hang the artwork will be provided by me. If you prefer, you of course can frame the artwork .

Jonathan Berkh wields acrylics and Chinese ink across canvas and mixed media, embedding his abstractionist vision that emerged from a need to rearrange life's structures. He deconstructs traditional canvas presentation, embodying freedom in his method, fostering a tactile relationship with his materials. His artworks are emotive journeys, casting viewers into a realm where crumbling constructs compel profound reflection and perspective shifts.
