About this artwork
A new workshop in the countryside, an old converted stable in which the friends who welcome him give him carte blanche to invest the premises and create. Directly placed on the ground, several old frames recovered from the family house. The painter works only during the day in daylight.
He decides to go further in his approach and benefits from greater support to develop the processes that he had started to imagine in the Akasha and Explosion de… sentiments series the previous year. To do this, he continues to give free rein to his inspirations during the first coats by always working on the solids but continues to allow himself runs and projections when the mood takes him. He chooses to continue his experiments around the accumulation of symbols and signs that he invents as he goes along. A dialogue in itself has him for nearly four months to achieve We Are.

Jonathan Courteix is a painter and draftsman based in France whose works have been exhibited both nationally and in Germany. His works explore the natural elements, as well as concepts relating to incarnation, the cosmos, and dreams. In addition, Courteix's compositions are an interpretation of the symbols and signs that are contained in various alphabets, of all ages and traditions. He most often creates using acrylics on paper or wood.
