Questo quadro parla di tutti noi. Vediamo un personaggio che porta con sé un pezzo di ponte e questo può simboleggiare il nostro bagaglio di esperienze.
È anche una riflessione sulle conseguenze delle azioni: Il protagonista porta via un pezzo di Ponte e così la bicicletta inevitabilmente cade. Un gioco umoristico che lascia spazio a diversi spunti. La tela è veramente tagliata e un pezzo della tela è asportato e incollato su un altro supporto. Poi… la tela mancante l'ho reinserita nella tela stessa con due incisioni nel supporto. Nel buco della tela di cotone vediamo la tela nera sottostante dove ho dipinto il personaggio sulla bici. Una mia invenzione che ho sviluppato dal 2016.

Jonathan is an Italian-British painter who has been living in France since 2016. He graduated in Fine Arts in Rome in 1996.
His paintings often feature poetic characters traveling along the roads of life. Humor and observations of modern society are also frequently present in his work. He works with a wide range of techniques, including oil, watercolour, acrylic, enamel paint and collage. However, the technique that has become one of his most recognizable trademarks is based on removing a section of the canvas and reinserting it with a character who carries it along with them.
Another successful series is his “Brushstroke” series, developed in 2004. It is based on a distinctive pictorial gesture: a huge brushstroke filled with an image, creating a visual passage between different worlds.
He has created several large public mural paintings in spray paint technique and acrylics in Europe and Australia.
