About this artwork
This sculpture is mounted on a granite base. This can be used for indoor use with felt underneath.
If required, for indoor or outdoor use, the sculpture can also be mounted on a wooden plinth. Plinths are an additional £500 GBP and we offer both unseasoned and seasoned Oak or Douglas Fir. Fixings… to be advised for any outdoor installations.
'Jonathan wanted to combine the story of Madame Butterfly, an opera he’d seen many times whilst working for the English National Opera for a number of years, with the well known cherry blossom of Japan. Their fleeting beauty providing a metaphor in Japanese culture for beauty and mortality.'

« Nature generally inspires my sculptures which are born out of an energy within to create. It is the result of ideas significant enough to me which propel that energy. »
