In this work, I've merged fine art and expressionism through oil, creating a vivid, heartfelt portrait. My brushstrokes carry the weight of raw emotions, grounding in realism yet hinting at the internal struggle. The play of light and shadow reflects life's complexities. It's intended to evoke contemplation and inspire a bold energy in your space, resonating with the depth of human experience.

« My paintings are my attempt at leaving physical memories for myself and others by way of portraiture. »
At the age of 15, on a trip to the Art Institute of Chicago with his parents, Jonathan Mcafee was stopped in his tracks by Warhol's 'Mao,' and definitely marked the start of his artistic pursuits. Today, Mcafee is busy composing expressive portraits centred on the theme of memory.
