About this artwork
This is the largest painting the artist has made to date. It was created for a solo exhibition he had in Indianapolis, IN back in 2015. The series focused on masculinity and femininity is today's modern world and how our ideals and perceptions may have changed through the timeline of art history.

At the age of 15, on a trip to the Art Institute of Chicago with his parents, Jonathan Mcafee was stopped in his tracks by Warhol's 'Mao,' and definitely marked the start of his artistic pursuits. Today, Mcafee is busy composing expressive portraits centred on the theme of memory.
