Simplicity pt2 by Jonathan Redmayne is a new body of work that delves into the world of abstract expressionism. The journey began over 15 years ago, the works have become more complex and meaningful over the years. The layers are carefully thoughtout and are applied with raw emotion, each colour fights for survival to achieve the desired effect. A minimalist approach is applied where action, speed and movement take centre stage.

Jonathan Redmayne is an artist based in Australia whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in England, Italy, Argentina, and the United States. He describes his works as challenging global consumerist culture while also paying homage to great expressionist movements. Redmayne's bold compositions embody a visual aesthetic that "emotionally confronts the viewer". He creates using recycled acrylics and mis-tints from sustainable sources.
