Exploration of a limited colour palette of black, white, Indian yellow and diarylide yellow produced results in this roughly hewn colour field abstraction.
The title refers to the colours reminding me of the moment of nuclear detonation.
The canvas has been tacked to the work surface before painting with the canvas edge masked to provide 5 cm (approx) clean area for stretching.
This work has now been stretched - however there is a horizontal… crack that developed during storage when the piece was rolled - this is just part of the work now.
