Jop Cornelis is a painter and draftsman based in the Netherlands whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Originating from the depths of his subconscious, and from the observations of abstraction in our environment, he fuses nonexistent objects with realistic shapes, subjects that are forgotten in the business of our existence. For Cornelis, the complexity of simplicity is a place where tension and tranquility come together.
