About this artwork
I've received such a warm welcome to Canada that I needed to branch out from my usual colour palette to capture the amazing energy that the people of Montréal are giving off. I've only been here for a few weeks but it's already starting to feel like home.

Jordan J. Plotnek is an experienced Australian-Brazilian painter with international exposure. Working within abstract expressionism he gains inspiration from his scientific research and nomadic travels to investigate the nature of humanity; particularly in response to pressing contemporary issues such as international security, climate change, and globalisation. Plotnek's work treads the line between captivating and uncomfortable, luring the viewer in and provoking them to engage with their own psyche and question the world around them.
