About this artwork
Outer worlds to inner worlds. Inner worlds to outer worlds. Realities clash until there is nothing left to resist. We are birthed on pre-painted canvas and forced to make our mark. We have no control over what is or ought to be. As hard as we fight, we are but a drip of paint in an eternal stream of consciousness. But at least we are still breathing.

« My artwork was born from my experiences as a security scientist and is a reflection of my ongoing struggle with the nature of humankind and what it means to be human. »
Jordan J. Plotnek is an experienced Australian-Brazilian painter with international exposure. Working within abstract expressionism he gains inspiration from his scientific research and nomadic travels to investigate the nature of humanity; particularly in response to pressing contemporary issues such as international security, climate change, and globalisation. Plotnek's work treads the line between captivating and uncomfortable, luring the viewer in and provoking them to engage with their own psyche and question the world around them.
