About this artwork
In the forests of Tierra del Fuego and Patagonia, it is the natural habitat of the Nothofagus betuloides, a tree also known as "guindo". Taking care of and promoting these forests, is the Fairy Guindo. It is a fairly old and woody flora fairy. In this work, the artist uses natural dyes brought from Central Mexico, graphite and pencil, on 400 grs paper.

Jorge Bernard is a painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in Argentina whose works have been exhibited nationally, in Romania and Chile. Describing his art as being a tribute to Mother Earth, he also pays homage to the aboriginal people of America, as well as the flora and fauna that are in danger of extinction. Bernard's fantastically realistic pieces are most often created using oils and acrylics on canvas.
