« I like to freely interpret the morphology of people and elements that nature offers us. This exercise provides me with an unlimited creative journey into my personal universe. »
José Palacios
His colorful compositions retain a classic scenic background, with figures and strong strokes coexisting with doses of abstraction and an almost stroboscopic effect that gives his paintings a great dynamism. Jose Palacios was born in 1970 and is recognized as a fully Madrid-born artist. Influenced by the explosion of shapes and colors of the so-called "movida," in the 21st century Palacios developed his current style, which is unclassifiable in any artistic movement. His resume includes his participation in exhibitions at Dionis Bennassar Art Gallery (Madrid), Wanrooij Gallery (Arnhem, Netherlands), Bridge Gallery (Beijing, China), Art Angler Fine Art Gallery (New York, USA), Plastike Art Gallery (Madrid), Actual Arte Contemporáneo & Galería Luis Carvajal (Madrid), Tamara Kreisler Gallery, and repeatedly at the Affordable Art Fair New York City, and the first edition of the Art Battalion festival (Madrid).
