About this artwork
Red is a very dynamic color with lots of emotions, impulsiveness, energy, power but also drama and deep feelings. With expressive gestures I apply the color to the canvas in strong brushstrokes.
For me, color is a fundamental thing and I am convinced that the viewer's eye sees the color first and then the shapes and compositions. Everything is built up through layers of color. Two or three layers create a new color. I cut through the image field… with dynamic line shapes so that figurative representations are suggested. The random meeting of delicate lines and dominant color areas create effective elements of tension. The application of dark blue and black tones is intended to make the viewer feel an inner strength. I focus on emotional or sensory expression through the pure design of shapes and colors.

During my professional career, I initially began painting according to non-academic guidelines. Visits to major museums broadened my perspective on art. I studied the painting styles of my role models, exploring composition and the interplay of colors and forms. I deepened my knowledge of abstract painting with the internationally renowned artists Pavel Roucka from Prague and Bernd Zimmer from Polling.
Each of my works contains a wealth of images and experiences I have seen, which I do not intend to analyze or recount. Rather, I invite the viewer to embark on their own individual journey of discovery, free from any predetermined message, and to allow the image to become an event for themselves.
