About this artwork
Elegí hacer la PUPPET SERIES porque me interesa mucho ese personaje, me inspira tranquilidad, libertad, sinseridad. En mi obra plasmo la interpretación de su rostro sin identidad, característico en mis personajes . La marioneta transmite sentimientos y recuerdos de infancia, este personaje nos acompaña a lo largo del tiempo, generación tras generación.
Centrando el proceso de la obra en su indumentaria, Intento plasmar en el personaje ese misterio… y encanto que le rodea, la información que nos transmite sin decir nada, solo con gestos, me lleva a la imaginación de trabajar el collage con diferentes materiales reciclados que dan volumen a la obra. Entre estos materiales se encuentra: las cuerdas con las que toma vida, el papel y el cartón.
Las obras se realizan aplicando una técnica mixta y collage sobre una base de tela o madera.

Josep Pozo is a Spanish painter who has exhibited his works in numerous solo events nationally. While he says his style isn't singular, but varied, one of the main features in his compositions is the ambiguity of the characters he portrays. Pozo highlights their characteristics and leaves it up to the viewer to create a narrative around their stories. He employs mixed techniques based on acrylics and collage, recycling different materials in order to obtain rich textures.
