Esta obra está inspirada en un personaje mítico, GEISHAS, a quien se le ha asignado una identidad falsa durante años debido a las calificaciones atribuidas al personaje.
La interpretación de la SERIE GEISHA se realizó con un rostro sin identidad, solo enfocándose en el maquillaje con la frialdad y el toque de color en sus labios que realzan esta imagen tan característica de una figura tan crítica.
Quiero plasmar en las obras esa fría expresión del… personaje, esa identidad incierta que genera dudas.
Elegí hacer la serie GEISHA porque me interesa mucho esta figura, en el juego que me permite vestir mis GEISHAS con esos vestidos con mucho color y jugar con texturas para hacer un collage utilizando diferentes materiales reciclados.
Los trabajos se realizan aplicando una técnica mixta en acrílico y un collage, sobre lienzo o base de madera.

« My restlessness makes me constantly think about my characters. »
Josep Pozo is a Spanish painter who has exhibited his works in numerous solo events nationally. While he says his style isn't singular, but varied, one of the main features in his compositions is the ambiguity of the characters he portrays. Pozo highlights their characteristics and leaves it up to the viewer to create a narrative around their stories. He employs mixed techniques based on acrylics and collage, recycling different materials in order to obtain rich textures.
