About this artwork
Uno de los personajes que más me atraen son las Geishas. Otras de las figuras que trabajo, son: el payaso, las marionetas, los músicos. Todos estos personajes tienen aspectos en común, uno de los más importantes es que no tienen identidad propia, se esconden detras de un personaje y un maquillaje.
De esta mujer elegante, que para mí es un personaje místico y mágico, me inspira la figura femenina, sus gestos y me apasiona su atuendo con infinidad… de colores y el contraste con su pálido maquillaje.
Trabajo con una técnica mixta con diferentes materiales sobre una base de tela o madera principalmente.
Reciclo materiales desechados para hacer los collages de mis creaciones. Algunos de los materiales que reciclo son: Posos de café, cartones de huevos, latas de refresco y servilletas de papel. El papel y el cartón que utilizo los pinto y los preparo cuidadosamente.

« My restlessness makes me constantly think about my characters. »
Josep Pozo is a Spanish painter who has exhibited his works in numerous solo events nationally. While he says his style isn't singular, but varied, one of the main features in his compositions is the ambiguity of the characters he portrays. Pozo highlights their characteristics and leaves it up to the viewer to create a narrative around their stories. He employs mixed techniques based on acrylics and collage, recycling different materials in order to obtain rich textures.
