This is the access door to the Royal Glass Factory of La Granja. It does not represent its real appearance, but as it should be after the important rehabilitation actions that have been carried out in the probably oldest industrial building in Spain. With great success, a “transparent” perforated sheet metal door was placed (which remains) and some streetlights of modern design (that someone decided to delete and put in more “conventionally old”… ones). Old pieces of glass-making machinery have also been cleverly placed, although not in the position they are in the image. Finally, the building is represented as “new” as if the renovations were recent, which would be equivalent to not only investing in redoing, but also in properly maintaining what was rehabilitated. Sometimes hyperrealism not only accurately represents what is real, but how we would like what reality was, or how it should be. UNIQUE WORK WITH CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
« I try to reach an exciting image through the use of honest means, with the minimum of external limitations and the maximum of creative freedom. »
