These drawings were made on the occasion of the premiere and performance of the opera El Mozo de Mulas, at the Forum Evolución in Burgos in November 2017. This opera was performed by the Burgos Symphony Orchestra

Juan Angel Saiz Manrique is a painter and sculptor based in Spain whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Poland, the United States, and Italy. He describes the themes presented in his art as being varied and generally presented in series, they include metropolis, bulls, stone eyes, etc. However, figurative or realistic elements executed in an agile and expressive manner are ever-present.
