About this artwork
Forms that emerge from observing the environment and its complexity are expressed through the creation of concentric lines and a blend of vibrant colors to generate optical illusions that resonate with the viewer. I wanted to convey the feeling of a vibrant and constantly transforming universe, using geometric shapes and colors reminiscent of the power of nature with a futuristic touch. The digital energy it emanates invites the viewer to immerse… themselves in a space full of life and hidden movements, creating a contrast between the organic and the abstract.
Juan Diego Quintero López, a Master of Visual Arts from the University of Antioquia in Medellín and holder of a Diploma in Contemporary Pedagogy from the Universidad Autónoma Americana, uses painting, photography, textile art, sculpture, and digital media to express his vision, supported by a solid background and international experience. His works fuse pop, kinetic, conceptual, and digital art, employing mesmerizing lines, colors, and forms that invite interaction. Through them, he conveys introspective experiences, existential lightness, and a profound call to conservation and reflection, generating vibrant sensations in the viewer. My work stems from nature, from origins; we are matter that emerges from a liquid medium and we depend on a liquid medium for our existence. My initial explorations delve into the stream, the beginning of life, and the different sequences of that liquid medium. This takes shape through concentric lines, generating sensations.
