About this artwork
Insects are a recurring theme in my work because they are propagators of life. Such small beings, yet so vital to existence. Through interwoven shapes, lines, and colors, I formalize this magnificent work of art. "This piece, produced using digital processes, is mounted on a 4mm methacrylate panel to maximize chromatic depth. The idea is for it to be mounted on an invisible structure that makes it appear to float 2cm from the wall." My work explores… the intersection of computing and visual aesthetics, materializing on high-end methacrylate supports. In this digital piece, I wanted to capture the essence of movement with vibrant, fluid lines that convey energy and depth. Blending realism with a futuristic and pop touch, I hope the piece will awaken emotions of introspection and connection with oneself. By placing it in your space, you will feel a dynamic force that invites reflection and embraces life.
Juan Diego Quintero López, a Master of Visual Arts from the University of Antioquia in Medellín and holder of a Diploma in Contemporary Pedagogy from the Universidad Autónoma Americana, uses painting, photography, textile art, sculpture, and digital media to express his vision, supported by a solid background and international experience. His works fuse pop, kinetic, conceptual, and digital art, employing mesmerizing lines, colors, and forms that invite interaction. Through them, he conveys introspective experiences, existential lightness, and a profound call to conservation and reflection, generating vibrant sensations in the viewer. My work stems from nature, from origins; we are matter that emerges from a liquid medium and we depend on a liquid medium for our existence. My initial explorations delve into the stream, the beginning of life, and the different sequences of that liquid medium. This takes shape through concentric lines, generating sensations.
