About this artwork
Scream is a Chinese silk bird, with one leg, one eye, a dark flame coming out of the other eye socket, and a beak made of black wire. It is a unique rarity, coming out of the artist's imagination to represent an agonizing cry of a living being that, despite everything, remains standing in the face of adversity.
Created with a technique of wrapping pieces of Chinese silk around the body. There are 3 different patterns of silk mixed to create different… effects on the body. They are silks purchased from the Singapore fabric market located in the heart of Chinatown. Conceived and created in Singapore.

« Passion and personal concern are the two concepts that best define my career as an artist. Passion as an invisible force that pushes me forward and personal restlessness to try new things and constantly improve. »
Juan Isasa, a sculptor who resides in Spain, has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in China, Indonesia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The two sources for his inspiration are the animal kingdom and the human face. Both demographics allow Isasa to combine beauty and complexity while celebrating and expressing diversity. He creates using stone, textiles, resin, cast iron, aluminium, and acrylics.
