About this artwork
This work is an engraving. It is made of copper plate in a size of 40x40. The technique used is etching and aquatint line engraving. Stamped in one color, black.
It is the head of a Rottweiler dog. Dog that I have a lot of access to and I see a lot. The appearance of nobility is perhaps what I like to highlight. The head appears in the light that comes out of a deep black background as in the dark. And the animal is expectant and observant, since… he expects something from the one in front of him.
