Direct carving in olive wood and support in pine wood. The shapes left by the cleaning of a pruning log induce its discovery, which in this work has led me to hint at only some detail to preserve as much as possible the abstract nature, which from my perspective has been transformed into an Alien. They are insinuating forms for the free interpretation of the spectator. Finished with oils, waxes, polished and lacquered.

Juan Pedrosa is an experienced painter and sculptor based in Spain whose works have been exhibited nationally and in the United States. Influenced and inspired by impresssionism, surrealism and the abstract, his diverse pieces are largely based on classical mythology. Pedrosa's creates using marble, iron, and more recently, wood. He allows himself to be guided by the veins and holes of the olive wood, which forms the unique design of his compositions.
