About this artwork
In Italian we use a proverb: "far saltare la mosca al naso"
Translated: get angry with anger, like a fly that insists on landing on your nose over and over again.

« It is through the eye that we observe the world and the way that each of us looks at life. »
Judith Holstein is an artist based in Switzerland whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in Germany. She characterizes her figurative pieces as centering on the gaze between the viewer and the work, where the eyes of her subjects are focal point. For Holstein, "one look is worth a thousand words". She primarily creates with acrylics and oils on canvas.
