About this artwork
In “Whispers of the Tree” I paint the quiet place where time slows down – a shady spot under an old tree, permeated by the gentle interplay of light and wind.
This work is, for me, a meditation on peace and connection. It invites you to pause and feel your own breath in the rhythm of nature – that moment when movement and stillness touch.
Using fine oil paints and a delicate gloss varnish, I created a surface that retains depth and luminosity.… The vintage gold wooden frame underscores the warm, timeless mood of the painting.
Thus, “tree whispers” becomes a silent resonance chamber – a place of inner mindfulness where nature and soul come into harmony.
« I paint the moment where movement and stillness touch – rooted in an inner rhythm, grown from the nature-bound vastness of my childhood. »
Time as an inner rhythm. For Judith Riemer, time is not a beat dictated from the outside. Her work follows her own pulse.
Becoming means organic change, growth and decay, condensation and dissolution. This principle shapes her pictorial structure. In her paintings, movement and stillness, surface and impulse, light and depth meet. Contrasts keep the image lively, rhythm runs through it diagonally and in a swinging motion.
Her works are inner places, born from time and becoming.
