About this artwork
In crafting this piece, I embraced the warmth and depth of golden hues to evoke a sense of serene contemplation. The textured acrylics blend abstract expressions with impressionistic strokes and minimalist sensibility. I pursued an emotional resonance and a visual harmony that speaks to the soul. This artwork, rooted in personal exploration, aspires to infuse any space with a tranquil, yet inspiring energy, offering a reflective escape from the everyday.
As a passionate linguaphile, I originally studied translating and interpreting at university. My professional background allowed me to travel extensively, exploring the architectural beauty and landscapes of Italy, Spain (Al Albaycín in Granada is one of my favourite places in the world), Southern France, Sweden, Budapest, and many other architectural oases. Coming from an architect and linguist family that spent a lot of time exploring the white-washed houses of Andalucía, I became increasingly interested in architecture and abstract art rooted in rustic Mediterranean aesthetics and Scandinavian minimalism. To me, art, aesthetics, and beautiful architecture with attention to detail should not be a sterile experience reserved for museums, but – quite the opposite – an organic part of everyday life, livable, touchable.
