About this artwork
In this work, I delved into surrealism and pop art to capture the balance between innocence and mischief. Acrylic allowed me to boldly express this duality. Here, the central character, surrounded by icons and provocative texts, embodies inner struggle and self-affirmation. It is a celebration of individuality, inviting reflection on our own complex nature. Each look at this vivid and figurative painting is an exploration of the human soul.

Julia Battaia is a painter and draftsman based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Slovakia and Italy. In addition, her art has been featured in publications such as Good Girls Gone Wild Magazine and Purepeople. Battaia describes her pieces as being imbued with paradoxes. She creates "falsely naive imagery", inviting the discovery of what lies behind it.
