About this artwork
In this work, I sought to capture the essence of the dualism intrinsic to our nature. Using acrylic, I mixed surrealism and pop art to create a figurative scene that depicts the contrasts of human emotions. The symbols and vibrant colors invite joyful contemplation, while evoking deep reflection on our inner paradoxes. It is a visual dialogue between innocence and malice, the angel and the devil who coexist within us.

Julia Battaia is a painter and draftsman based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Slovakia and Italy. In addition, her art has been featured in publications such as Good Girls Gone Wild Magazine and Purepeople. Battaia describes her pieces as being imbued with paradoxes. She creates "falsely naive imagery", inviting the discovery of what lies behind it.
