The apple is one of the oldest symbols in art and mythology. It can represent temptation, knowledge, desire, freedom, or the moment a person chooses their own path.
In this painting, the reflection is not a mirror image but another side of the same self. Light and shadow, innocence and experience, caution and curiosity exist side by side.
Perhaps the forbidden bite is not about falling from… grace.
Perhaps it is about discovering who we truly are.
