About this artwork
The work addresses the invisible, which unfolds between structure and dissolution, between matter and emotion.
Here, the construction foam—an industrial, often underestimated material—is set in aesthetic contrast with a delicate, cloud-like color scheme. The arched structure evokes organic formations, growing landscapes, and looming thoughts.
The canvas no longer serves merely as a backdrop, but as the supporting ground for a proliferating process.… The work grows beyond the edges – just as emotions, memories, or that which we cannot grasp often have no clear boundaries.
The layers of pastel color appear like fragments of memories—soft, brittle, fragile. They invite us to take a closer look: What is still solid? What is beginning to dissolve?
"Zwischenräume" is a work about transitions, inner landscapes, and the beauty of imperfection. It doesn't demand clarity, but rather offers space for emotion.
