About this artwork
The inspiration for this painting comes from a desire at first glance to work with cold colors.
I was thinking of the sky, or more precisely the universe. Then the rest came quickly. I wanted to evoke the beauty of the universe, its bluish colors, the stars. Hence this choice of shades as well as the white projections to recall the multiple stars.
Finally, being by nature very curious about the mysteries of the universe, I imagined "a breach",… "a fault", which would be an open window, a gateway to new worlds to explore.
I imagined something visually magnificent, sparkling, very intoxicating and irresistibly attractive. We do not know this unknown, and yet we cannot escape the idea of knowing what is on the other side...
