About this artwork
Flow is the result of a collaboration with the temporary neighborhood swimming pool of the same name installed in the summer in the working-class district of Molenbeek and partly managed by residents. This award-winning work is part of a series with models Solène Lelièvre, Stessy Reniers, Christelle Abeels and was produced with the help of Loïc Pirlot, portrait photographer. It is exhibited at the Non Ouverte gallery in Brussels.
Julien VANDANJON-RANCOULE is a multidisciplinary artist, with foundations in drawing, photography and documentary filmmaking. Mastering graphic design and photography techniques, he uses his art as a form of therapy and activism. His works, although calming and decorative on the outside, convey deeper emotions and complex social messages.
