About this artwork
Red Queen 2 is part of a series called "Le cobaye de Tchernobyl" in reference to the movie "La Classe Américaine" from Michel Hazanavicius. The model is called Camille C. and was multi-exposed in Montpellier using a combination of photography techniques such as lightpainting, photostacking and shadow projection of papercut creations by artist Rachel Weasel Fisher.
The result is this smooth and almost blurry series with a soft and romantic poetry… beneath a harsh, almost industrial look.
The actual prints in the series are produced using Digigraphy technology in Brussels and supplied with the gallery's certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. They are certified one-off prints, and no reproductions are allowed.
