About this artwork
I explore women’s beauty, fragility, and power though painting. One of my goals is to reveal the concealed emotions women have. In my paintings, there’s desire, hesitation, hope, and pain. In this piece, I used red lights on myself, creating a surreal effect. My gaze and gesture are woven together with the changing light. Instead of telling people directly who I am, I’d like my work to be open to viewer’s interpretation.
