Chinese painter Junyi Lu began attending art classes around age ten, and has never stopped drawing and painting since. Using mixed mediums such as acrylic or oil mixed with soil or cement, Lu creates multi-layered works. Inspired by her observations of the individual's relation to society and nature, Lu's paintings often explore themes such as secularity, language, and perpetuity. The resulting absurdist works are deeply nuanced in content and strikingly lucid in form.
