Patchwork explores the concept of simultaneously adding and subtracting paint over an extended time period. This painting was created with several layers that form a fabric of interwoven colors and textures. Patchwork was built using oil paint over months as each layer dried. Slashing strokes with the palette knife and other tools create an organized chaos that allows this work to radiate energy.
