About this artwork
Dream opens like a space of dreams: impressions, emotions, and shadowy images flow in, intertwine, move on, and leave traces in the light. The darker tones convey depth and weight, while the lighter areas bestow lightness and clarity.
Rhythmic movements pulsate through the space, carrying viewers like a gentle melody from one mood to the next. They depict a constant ebb and flow – a vivid reminder that seeing and feeling are in flux. Moments appear… and disappear, yet a faint memory remains, rekindled with the next glance. It is an intense, emotional experience that creates space for reflection, longing, and a fragile hope.
CHANGE and TRANSFORMATION are the central themes of my art. Through the power of colors, I express invisible inner states as well as the preconscious and unconscious and make them sensually perceptible. In my works, spaces of tension arise that combine calm and movement, dynamics and tension, and in which feelings, images and associations can come to life.
I work with different techniques: colors are removed and reapplied, and I use different utensils to scratch, smear and rub the materials - all of this leaves unmistakable marks on the canvas.
Are they landscapes or people? Or are they rather independent abstractions? This uncertainty remains even after a longer viewing and invites you to develop your own perceptions and memories of the images.
