Finding peace is often perceived as a meaningless activity with no reward, and active behavior is preferred. Yet contemplation allows the soul to experience a sense of well-being in which it can linger and rest. It then does not need to look back into the past or see into the future. Time means nothing in this moment of observation. The present continues without one noticing its duration.

CHANGE and TRANSFORMATION are the central themes of my art. Through the power of colors, I express invisible inner states as well as the preconscious and unconscious and make them sensually perceptible. In my works, spaces of tension arise that combine calm and movement, dynamics and tension, and in which feelings, images and associations can come to life.
I work with different techniques: colors are removed and reapplied, and I use different utensils to scratch, smear and rub the materials - all of this leaves unmistakable marks on the canvas.
Are they landscapes or people? Or are they rather independent abstractions? This uncertainty remains even after a longer viewing and invites you to develop your own perceptions and memories of the images.
