About this artwork
I worked on these two canvases at the same time, going back and forth between them. They seemed to play off each other in a fun and interesting way so wanted to offer them as a diptych. ***They are two separate 40x40 inch canvases.

Kaitlin Johnson is an emerging Canadian painter who has exhibited her work nationally. Combining washes of colour and thick strokes, intricate patterns and spatial balance, she composes paintings that dance with shapes and bloom with colours. Johnson ultimately seeks to explore the struggle of moving from woundedness and pain towards beauty and healing.
