About this artwork
"Body Sutra"
I am transcribing The Heart Sutra on human bodies. This work is a reflection on the body and the senses, the world of matter and impermanence, form and emptiness.
The Buddhist text "The Heart Sutra" whose main theme is transcendental wisdom, namely the emptiness of all things and all phenomena, which does not mean their non-existence, but their absence of substantial, fixed and unchanging character.
This series of works was exhibited… during the Fotofever exhibition at the CAROUSSEL DU LOUVRE in PARIS in 2018.
Each print is made to order on Hahnemühle Baryta 300g+ paper. The custom framing and signature placement are customizable and controlled by the artist.

Visual artist and performer Kaixuan FENG develops a transdisciplinary body of work that blends cultural heritage and contemporary languages. Trained in Chinese painting at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts (TAFA) and holding a DNSEP from the École supérieure d'art de Tourcoing, she teaches in TAFA's transmedia art department.
Her practice encompasses performance, photography, calligraphy, painting, textile sculpture, and video. At the heart of her approach, the notion of "self-giving" is embodied in her iconic series "Cheveux d'Encre," presented at the Palais de Tokyo and the Musée Champollion, where fragility acquires symbolic power.
Exhibited internationally (Grand Palais, Carrousel du Louvre, Tianjin Art Museum), winner of the "100 Women of Culture" prize 2024, her work appears in public and private collections in many countries, affirming her unique place in contemporary art.
