Visual artist and performer Kaixuan FENG develops a transdisciplinary body of work that blends cultural heritage and contemporary languages. Trained in Chinese painting at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts (TAFA) and holding a DNSEP from the École supérieure d'art de Tourcoing, she teaches in TAFA's transmedia art department.
Her practice encompasses performance, photography, calligraphy, painting, textile sculpture, and video. At the heart of her approach, the notion of "self-giving" is embodied in her iconic series "Cheveux d'Encre," presented at the Palais de Tokyo and the Musée Champollion, where fragility acquires symbolic power.
Exhibited internationally (Grand Palais, Carrousel du Louvre, Tianjin Art Museum), winner of the "100 Women of Culture" prize 2024, her work appears in public and private collections in many countries, affirming her unique place in contemporary art.
