About this artwork
PAIN was the first painting I created from a place of complete emotional honesty.
It began with physical pain concentrated in one specific point of my body — so intense that words no longer felt sufficient. I needed to externalize it, to give it form, movement, and space outside of myself.
The red-orange eruption became the visual language of that sensation: something spreading uncontrollably, interrupting silence and structure. This was also the… beginning of orange entering my work — not simply as a color, but as a presence.
The golden pins surrounding the center emphasize the tension of the wound. They create both protection and pressure, attraction and discomfort. The circle becomes a fragile boundary between what is contained and what can no longer stay inside.
