About this artwork
In this work, I sought to embody the metaphysical fusion of eternity and living form, combining monumental architecture with soft, painterly lyricism. The central image is an anthropomorphic figure emerging from the stone, or perhaps dissolved within it. Within its rigid, geometric contours, one can discern the silhouette of a traditional khachkar, which in my vision transforms into an elegant female form. stone block and the sensual, soft curves of the nude body, I explore the harmony between the earthly and the spiritual, between man-made geometry and natural grace.
I have woven the space of the canvas from elusive, shifting pastel tones. Warm shades of terracotta and ochre seamlessly dissolve into the cool lavender and azure undertones of the sky and earth. This vibrating, hazy brushwork helps me convey a sense of the "metaphysics of the moment"—a threshold state between a dream, an ancient myth, and waking reality.
