About this artwork
This is an original floral painting on a gallery wrapped canvas done in an impressionist style. There are 10+ layers of acrylic paint and washes that give the piece nuance, depth and interest. The side edges are painted black and it is wired ready to hang. Each of my paintings has a clear gloss UV protective finish coat.

Karen Hale is an award-winning American painter who has exhibited in Los Altos, California. Her work spans and blends abstract, landscape and floral paintings. Hale’s spontaneous and multi-layered methods best suit the fast-drying properties of acrylic paints. She also adds chalk, pastel, found papers, pen graphite and metallic leafing to give depth to a piece. Each painting’s edges are then coated in black and completed with a UV protective gloss.
