About this artwork
This is an original abstract painting on a gallery wrapped canvas. The minimalist approach to a landscape creates a calm and soothing scene. There are 10+ layers of acrylic paint, light texture, and washes of acrylic paint. The edges are painted black and it is wired ready to hang. Each of my paintings has a clear gloss UV protective finish coat.

Karen Hale is an award-winning American painter who has exhibited in Los Altos, California. Her work spans and blends abstract, landscape and floral paintings. Hale’s spontaneous and multi-layered methods best suit the fast-drying properties of acrylic paints. She also adds chalk, pastel, found papers, pen graphite and metallic leafing to give depth to a piece. Each painting’s edges are then coated in black and completed with a UV protective gloss.
