About this artwork
The eternal movement of water that comes and goes, that is never the same, that plays with the light and to which I always return. Maybe because of the protective silence that inspires me, maybe because of the evanescence of the moment, because of the beauty of the colors... I couldn't say, I just know that it keeps calling me and I keep coming back.

Karen Kruse is a Spanish artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Denmark, Germany, and Greece. After years in her career in the restoration of older works of art, she decided to pursue her own artistic expression. Isolation is the central theme in her compositions, which, ironically, unites us all. Kruse feels that as much as we communicate, we are essentially alone, 'inside our skin'. Her bold portraits and landscapes are imbued with emotion.
