About this artwork
Active structures reach into the room with vehemence from the upper half of the picture. A pulsating surface lies deep beneath them, which increasingly carries light towards a distant horizon. Dense bundles of lines approach each other. Sometimes they touch each other. A pulsating alternation of light and dark spreads over the events.

German artist Karen Rosski, born in 1965, works with two-dimensional media such as painting and drawing, as well as in the medium of object art. She completed first a training as a text and graphic painter (1983-1985), then a degree course at the College of Art and Design Halle in painting/graphics (1990-1995) and she was a master student under Prof. Inge Götze (1995-1997). She lives and works in Dresden.
