About this artwork
Fog Dance was inspired by the quiet hush of morning mist, that softened moment where the landscape feels suspended, and everything is blurred just enough to become something more felt than seen. I was drawn to the way early light filters through fog, dissolving edges and creating a sense of calm, shifting space.
Working in layers of soft greys, whites and inky blues, I built the surface slowly, allowing textures to emerge and recede like mist drifting… across a horizon. There’s a stillness in this process that mirrors those early hours: gentle, muted, and deeply atmospheric.
This piece feels like a pause to me - a meditative space where the mist dances over the ground and the landscape becomes less about place and more about presence.
