About this artwork
This is the second painting in a series I painted form life during Lockdown when I immersed myself in my immediate surroundings looking at detail whilst playing with scale. My house is filled with plants which of course not only help to keep the air clear but also inspire me with ever-changing painting opportunities. As the summer moved on and we were all still in Lockdown I became more interested in my now small world and spent the days watching…
and painting the light dance and move round with the day.
During October this year I became aware of a beautiful painting by a great aunt of mine and was so inspired by her work I revisited this painting and worked further into the colours and forms. I hope you like the changes I have made!
